Topolcianky, November 27 (TASR) - The government during a session in the town of Topolcianky (Nitra region) on Wednesday tasked Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) with urgently submitting a draft of necessary legislative changes to ensure that health care is provided smoothly throughout Slovakia. The government also took note of the minister's verbal report on the status and progress of negotiations between the Health Ministry and the Medical Trade Union Association (LOZ). More than 3,300 doctors from hospitals across Slovakia have already filed resignation notices in a show of displeasure with the situation prevailing in health care. The doctors are also considering submitting overtime work refusals. They are willing to withdraw them if the government starts meeting their demands. They first and foremost insist that the points of the memorandum from 2022 should be met. lin/df/zel
