President to Greet BratMUN Conference Participants Via Video Message

Bratislava, November 28 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini will greet the participants of the Model United Nations (BratMUN) conference, which is organised annually by the students of Jur Hronec Grammar School in Bratislava, via a video address on Friday (November 29), TASR was told by the President Office's communications department on Thursday. "The president will wish the conference participants a rich and inspiring discussion and for them, armed with knowledge, to be able to assume responsibility for the future direction of our common planet," said the communications department. The President's Office pointed out that the model session is an educational simulation of the United Nations (UN) that aims to enable secondary school students to engage more closely with international political issues while developing their communication, deliberation, leadership and debating skills in English. "This is the largest, oldest and most prestigious event of its kind in the country," noted the communications department, adding that for 21 years more than 200 students from around the world have participated in the three-day conference each year. am/df
