Krupa: SIS and Interior Ministry Should Shed Light on Terrorist Threat

Bratislava, December 2 (TASR) - Representatives of the Interior Ministry and the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) should explain all the circumstances regarding a potential terrorist threat against critical infrastructure in eastern Slovakia, stated MP Juraj Krupa (SaS) at a press conference on Monday.
"Either SIS hasn't documented all the evidence and information properly, or the police intervened at the wrong time, or this is simply just something imaginary and fabricated," said Krupa in response to the fact that apprehended suspects have been released.
The MP added that according to the Interior Ministry and SIS, there are terrorists in Slovakia who pose a threat, and the security forces are at their wits' end when it comes to how to tackle the challenge.
Krupa stressed that coalition lawmakers often engage in fear-mongering about NATO and aid for Ukraine, but turn a blind eye to real threats that originate predominantly from Russia.
MP Maria Kolikova (SaS) added that the government promised stability, peace and security, but no one in Slovakia feels safe today, not after another round of bomb threats at schools last week. "How should parents feel about this? I'm asking: what is this government doing to help parents and children in schools?"
On Saturday (November 30), Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok announced on a STVR politics show that activities have been detected in eastern Slovakia that might hint at potential preparations for a terrorist attack on critical infrastructure.
