Bratislava, December 2 (TASR) - The opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) party wants to initiate the convening of a special meeting of the special parliamentary committee for supervising the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS), Tereza Mikacova of the PS media department announced on Monday.
At the meeting MPs should deal with the information on possible threats to critical infrastructure in Slovakia and bomb threats to schools.
"Information about the alleged threat to Slovakia's critical infrastructure and about bomb threats to schools was very unclear and probably didn't result in the detention of the assumed perpetrators. We expect a more specific explanation from SIS about whether or not the state's critical infrastructure was really threatened," said MP Martin Dubeci (PS).
MP Zuzana Stevulova (PS) said that doubts have arisen that the SIS might be misused to cover up the failures of Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD).
