Bratislava, December 3 (TASR) - The state-budget deficit reached €5.138 billion at the end of November 2024, the Finance Ministry reported on Tuesday, adding that this figure was €700.3 million lower year-on-year (y-o-y).
State-budget incomes increased by €144.4 million y-o-y, while expenditures fell by €555.9 million.
Tax revenues grew by €868.8 million in November. "Positive developments were seen in incomes from value-added tax, which went up by €146.2 million, excise taxes (up €139 million) and withholding tax (up €106.2 million)," said the ministry.
The special levy from businesses operating in regulated branches saw record growth of €468.4 million y-o-y.

State-budget expenditures related to drawing EU funds saw a y-o-y decrease of €1.182 billion. Expenditures related to drawing money from the Recovery and Resilience Plan rose by €102.7 million y-o-y. Payments into the EU budget decreased by €136.5 million.
