MPs Dealing with President-vetoed Amendment on EIA Act on Wednesday

Bratislava, December 4 (TASR) - Parliament is dealing with an amendment to the Environmental Impact Assessment Act at the beginning of the seventh day of the ongoing session on Wednesday. The amendment was vetoed by President Peter Pellegrini, who recommended that Parliament should take two items out of the legislation and then approve it again. Parliament passed the vetoed bill in September. It was aimed at streamlining EIA-related procedures. The president objected, among other things, to the definition of an 'affected municipality' within it. MPs are set to vote on the issues that have been debated at 5 p.m. The planned vote at 11 a.m. should be dropped. ko/df
