Stats Office: New Orders in Industry Up 3.3 percent Y-o-Y in October

Bratislava, December 16 (TASR) - New orders in Slovak industry went up by 3.3 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) to €5.2 billion in October 2024, the Statistics Office reported on Monday, adding this was only the third increase to be posted this year. After seasonal adjustments, new orders in industry increased by 3.2 percent month-on-month (m-o-m). Only three of the 12 monitored branches posted increases in volumes of orders in October. New orders went up only in the textile production, in the production of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers and in the production of computer, electronic and optical products. Conversely, the most significant y-o-y fall in new industrial orders was reported in the production of clothing, in the production and processing of metals and in the production of other means of transport. ko
