Bratislava: Drunk Driver Causes Collisions Involving Four Cars

Bratislava, December 20 (TASR) - A drunk driver caused crashes involving four vehicles on an overpass in Bratislava on Thursday (December 19) afternoon, Bratislava regional police reported on a social network on Friday. "According to preliminary information, the 52-year-old driver of a Hyundai Tucson, heading out of the city along the Vajnorsky Nadjazd overpass, crashed into a Mitsubishi ahead of him in the same lane. The impact of the collision jolted this car into an opposite direction lane. The Hyundai driver continued on until he reached a traffic light crossroads, where he smashed into a stationary Skoda Octavia, which was shunted into a Volkswagen as the drivers waited for the traffic lights to change," reads the text. The driver who caused the incidents submitted to a breathalyser test, which detected 1.83 per thousand of alcohol on his breath. He faces criminal prosecution of public endangerment under the influence. mf/df
