Bratislava, December 23 (TASR) - The fire in a supermarket in Bratislava's borough of Raca, which caused property damage of more than a million euros, was caused by a 7-year-old boy of Bratislava, Bratislava regional police spokesperson Michal Szeiff announced on Monday. "The boy willfully started a fire in the aisle with toilet paper and children's diapers. Because of his behaviour, the fire spread to other goods as well," explained the spokesperson after the evidence analysis. No one suffered any injuries, although shoppers and employees had to be evacuated. The police launched a criminal prosecution over public endangerment. "Due to the perpetrator's age, a different course of action is taken by the police, in cooperation with employees of the social custody services," added Szeiff. The fire erupted on Saturday (December 21) after noon, and required the summoning of 28 professional and 9 volunteer firefighters from Ruzinov and Raca. mf/mcs
