Bratislava, January 1 (TASR) - Agel strongly rejects the claims of the Medical Trade Union Association (LOZ) about the alleged failure of its hospitals in relation to doctors and employees, Agel told TASR in response to LOZ chief Peter Visolajsky's statement that hospitals owned by financial groups had shown strong disrespect towards doctors, even threatening the national agreement and their return.
"During the strike, we respected the right of doctors associated in the LOZ to engage in activities and we maintained open and constructive communication with all doctors who tendered their resignation notices as a sign of solidarity. Many of them withdrew their resignation notices already during the strike after witnessing a number of misleading statements made by LOZ representatives. Eventually, we reached an agreement with all the affected employees in accordance with the instructions of the Health Ministry," she added.
