Bratislava, January 3 (TASR) - The 'Peace to Ukraine' NGO organised a protest rally in front of the Government Office in Bratislava on Friday evening against the actions of Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD), the NGO's Marian Kulich has informed TASR.
The protest organisers reject "collaboration with Russia". According to them, Fico is betraying Slovakia's true allies.
"Peace to Ukraine is beginning with a series of protest rallies against the direction in which Slovakia is heading. On Friday, it's organising the first mobilisation event at which the Manifesto of the Initiative for Freedom and Democracy will be presented," said Kulich.
The NGO organised the protest against Fico's actions back before Christmas. At the same time, its representatives filed a motion with the Prosecutor General's (PG) Office in connection with the premier's trip to Moscow. According to the NGO, the premier has been attempting to legitimise Russian President Vladimir Putin for a long time, even though an international arrest warrant has been issued for him. Slovakia is considered an enemy country by the Russian Federation, meaning that Fico met the enemy, said the NGO. The PG's Office has said that it will deal with the motion in line with the law.
