Bratislava, January 10 (TASR) - In connection with the cyber-attack on the Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre Office (UGKK), the junior governing Slovak National Party (SNS) has called on Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) to immediately summon the Ukrainian ambassador to clarify medialised information that people close to Ukraine may be behind the attack, TASR has learnt from SNS spokesperson Zuzana Skopcova. "The Slovak National Party views it as important that minister Blanar should ask Ukrainian representatives, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for an official stance to refute any suspicions, or to provide cooperation in searching for the possible perpetrators of this cyber-attack," said Skopcova. If the information is confirmed, it is important that the Ukrainians should help to find out the truth so that bilateral relations are not disrupted in the future, stated SNS. "If the Ukrainian side has nothing to hide, it will immediately provide our authorities with cooperation in seeking the real perpetrators," added SNS. The cyber-attack that hit UGKK earlier this week was the biggest in the history of the independent Slovakia, Agriculture Minister Richard Takac (Smer-SD) said earlier on Friday. He declared that the office has all its data backed up and that no one will lose their property. According to Takac, a similar big cyber-attack on the same network was carried out this week in Russia. He spoke about indications and suspicions that these attacks might have came from Ukraine. The Office for Combating Organised Crime (UBOK) is dealing with this case of suspected unauthorised interference with the real estate registry computer system. ko/df
