Bratislava, January 12 (TASR) - A parliamentary delegation, led by House Vice-chairs Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS) and Tibor Gaspar (Smer-SD), left for a working visit to Russia on Sunday morning. The delegation also includes MPs Marian Kery, Jan Mazgut and Richard Gluck (all Smer-SD), and Adam Lucansky (SNS). According to Gaspar, the agenda of the negotiations should include, among other things, the supply of natural gas to Slovakia and the war in Ukraine. As the Poles banned the flight over their territory, the flight has been diverted and will fly over the Czech Republic and Germany. "I don't understand Poland's position, but I take it as a reality," said Danko. According to Danko's and Gaspar's previous statements, the Slovak delegation is expected to meet with representatives of the State Duma and some members of the government. Danko stated before the flight that he wants to bring information, for example, about life in Russia. "I want to show that people live there too, that Germans, French, Americans do business there," he said. Gaspar announced that the delegation also wants to ask whether Russia's Gazprom would be able to supply gas to Slovakia despite the stoppage of transit by Ukraine. The parliamentary delegation is scheduled to return from Russia on Wednesday, January 15. am
