Bratislava, January 15 (TASR) - A fire broke out in the house of lawmaker Pavol Luptak (Independent) in Turcianske Teplice early on Wednesday, with the property damage estimated at €300,000, although no one suffered any injuries, TASR learnt from the legislator himself on the same day. Luptak didn't rule out the possibility that arson was involved. "As the fire started outside the house, arson or fire-setting cannot be ruled out. There have been no injuries, as the legislator and his wife were on holiday abroad at the time," stated Luptak in the third person, adding that the property wasn't insured. The cause of the fire is the subject of an investigation. In July 2024, the lawmaker was physically attacked and suffered injuries that required medical attention. mf/df
