Bratislava, January 15 (TASR) - Government Proxy for Investigation into COVID-19 Pandemic Management Peter Kotlar is expected to have expanded powers in the future, as announced by the Proxy himself following Wednesday's government meeting, which also discussed his report on his previous activities, with the cabinet approving it. Kotlar anticipates that his competencies may expand, noting that this will also depend on the review and recovery of data related to the operation of mobile testing sites (MOM) and adverse effects of COVID vaccines. "These are the things we'll focus on in the first phase in the near future," he said. "We also agreed on analysing the vaccines and individual batches that were used during the pandemic," he added. According to his words, the review shouldn't lead to reckless punishment of those who may not even have been aware that they were committing illegal activities. "However, we'll have to draw clear criminal responsibility in cases that must set an example for the future, so that political power can't be misused again, such as in the issuance of decrees, closing of schools, and restriction of rights and freedoms," he explained. He also praised the cooperation with ministers from all three coalition parties. lin/mcs
