Gaspar: Fico to Go to Moscow for Victory Day Celebrations with Large Delegation

Moscow, January 15 (TASR) - Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) will travel to Moscow together with a large delegation to celebrate the Victory Day on May 9, Parliamentary Vice-chair Tibor Gaspar (Smer-SD) told the Russian news agency TASS on Wednesday. "We want to come with a big delegation on May 9. We have also discussed this with head of Russian State Duma [Vyacheslav Volodin]," Gaspar stated for TASS, adding that the premier will also come. Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic confirmed that he and Fico had agreed to jointly attend the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow's Red Square to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The Slovak parliamentary delegation, led by Gaspar and House Vice-chair Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS), has been on a working visit to Moscow since Sunday (January 12). am/mcs
