Stats Office: New Orders in Industry Up 5.1 percent Y-o-Y in November 2024

Bratislava, January 16 (TASR) - New orders in Slovak industry went up by 5.1 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) to €5.76 billion in November 2024, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday, adding that this was the third month of growth in a row and that the rate of growth accelerated again slightly. After seasonal adjustments, new orders in industry fell by 4.9 percent month-on-month (m-o-m), however. Five of the 12 monitored branches posted increases in volumes of orders in November. New orders went up the most in the production of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers, in textile production, and in the production of computer, electronic and optical products. Conversely, the most significant y-o-y fall in new industrial orders was reported in the production of clothing, in the production of other means of transport, and in the production of machinery and equipment not classified elsewhere. ko/df
