UGKK: Neither Legal Relations, Nor Ownership of Real Estate Threatened

Bratislava, January 16 (TASR) - No legal relationship to real estate or its ownership was affected by the recent cyber-attack on the land registry office, and all legal relations to real estate throughout Slovakia have been restored to the state in place as of January 3, 2025, Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Office (UGKK) chairman Jura Celler said on Thursday, TASR has learnt from Martina Simkova of the UGKK chairman's office. "As of today, 44 land registry departments of district offices have been reopened and are providing services at the local level," added Celler. According to the Interior Ministry, land registry departments have been gradually reopening since Monday (January 13). They are only providing services for districts within their territorial jurisdiction for now. Land registry departments were temporarily closed in recent days due to a large-scale cyber-attack from abroad that hit their information system. ko/df
