Bratislava, January 16 (TASR) - An additional €212 million from the Recovery and Resilience Plan should help to modernise health-care infrastructure, which would increase the number of new or reinstalled hospital beds, Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) posted on a social network on Thursday in response to a draft revision of the recovery plan that was approved by the government on Wednesday (January 15). "The cabinet on Wednesday greenlighted the proposal, which will be submitted to the European Commission. This step will allow funds to be transferred from unfeasible projects to the regions, where patients will feel the impact of this assistance the most. Slovak patients deserve quality health care. An investment in health is always an investment in the future," stressed Sasko. The draft revision of the Recovery and Resilience Plan will be submitted to the European Commission, as some of the milestones and targets can't be met within the time and scope set. am/df
