Bratislava, January 16 (TASR) - The entire society must condemn all aggression and violence and return to mutual respect and esteem for rules and authority, Parliamentary Vice-Chair entrusted with the powers of the House Chair Peter Ziga (Voice-SD) stated on Thursday, adding that there's a duty to ensure that a tragedy similar to the attack at the secondary grammar school in Spisska Stara Ves (Presov region) will never happen again, TASR learnt from the Parliament Office's communications department.
"I'm appalled by the violent attack on pupils and teachers, which has claimed the highest price, all the more so because it happened on school grounds," said Ziga, expressing his sympathy and compassion to all those who lost a loved one. "It's our duty to ensure that a similar tragedy never happens again. The whole society must unequivocally condemn any aggression and violence and return to mutual respect and esteem for rules and authority," he stressed.
Two people are reported dead after a knife attack at a secondary grammar school in the town of Spisska Stara Ves in Presov region. The Emergency Medical Service Operational Centre also confirmed that one patient is in critical condition. The number of other people injured hasn't been established yet. The police have already arrested an 18-year-old student suspected of committing the serious crime.
