Pezinok, January 19 (TASR) - The Specialised Criminal Court (STS) in Pezinok (Bratislava region) has sent the student, charged in the case of the knife attack at the secondary school in Spisska Stara Ves (Presov region), into custody, TASR has learnt from STS spokeswoman Katarina Kudjakova. The judge's decision isn't yet final, and the accused has reserved the right to appeal. "The reason for the custody is the concern that the accused may flee or continue criminal activity, so it is both the flight-prevention and preventive custody," the spokeswoman explained, adding that the judge rejected the defendant's request for supervision by probation and mediation officers. The prosecutor in the case waived their right to appeal to the custody decision, she added. The student faces charges of a particularly serious crime of premeditated murder. On Saturday (January 18), the prosecutor from the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Presov filed a motion for the accused to be taken into custody. The victims of Thursday's attack (January 18) at the secondary grammar school in Spisska Stara Ves were two women, aged 18 and 51, a student and the school deputy director. Another 18-year-old woman with moderately severe injuries was taken to hospital. An 18-year-old student who attended the high school, was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime. lin
