STS: Student Charged in Knife Attack Case Appeals against Custody

Bratislava, January 23 (TASR) - The student who has been charged with carrying out a fatal knife attack at a secondary school in Spisska Stara Ves (Presov region) last week has appealed against being prosecuted while in custody, Specialised Criminal Court (STS) spokesperson Katarina Kudjakova has confirmed for TASR, adding that the appeal will now be dealt with by the Supreme Court. The victims of last week's attack at the grammar school in Spisska Stara Ves were two women, aged 18 and 51, a student and the school's deputy headteacher. Another student was injured. The police have charged the suspect, an 18-year-old student, with premeditated murder. The Specialised Criminal Court remanded him in custody. ko/df
