President Finds Demands by MPs around Migal to Be Unacceptable

Bratislava, January 23 (TASR) - The MPs centred around Samuel Migal from Voice-SD are demanding strong positions of power in return for their loyalty to the government, said President Peter Pellegrini, calling this unacceptable.
"I founded Voice-SD with the idea that first and foremost it would be in the interests of Slovakia, secondly in the interests of the party, and that the personal ambitions of people who would work in the party would only come third. The gentlemen around Migal are demanding strong positions, ministries and power, and in doing so they have completely deviated from the message that I, as Peter Pellegrini, tried to instill in Voice, which is that the people and a better life for them come first," he said after the Security Council meeting on Thursday.
The head of state called on the MPs around Migal to stop hiding behind his name. "I didn't set up Voice-SD for some four defectors to try to abuse the fact that they were given a chance by me and got into Parliament, and to start demanding strong positions and participation in power in the form of high-ranking posts. This is unacceptable," he said.
