Bratislava, January 24 (TASR) - Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) spoke at a press conference on the cyber-attack against the systems of the state-run health insurance company VsZP mainly about politics and the search for the guilty and not about what the people need to hear, MP Jan Hargas (Progressive Slovakia/PS) said in response to the information about the attack, adding that he couldn't help feeling that this was just "another piece in the mosaic of fear-mongering".
"We're, of course, pleased that it has been confirmed that people's data are safe at this point. Since in the case of the land registry it was also shown that the government is misinforming and misleading the people, we'll be asking at the relevant parliamentary committees for more information on this attack," said Hargas, adding that the prime minister should be more action-oriented in protecting state systems and more restrained in finding the culprits and spreading fear.
Premier Fico and Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) informed at a press conference on Friday about the cyber-attack against the VsZP systems. According to them, neither the sensitive data of the people nor the health-care provision is currently at risk.
