Gaspar Expects Voice-SD and SNS to Sort Out Issues Within Their Political Clubs

Bratislava, January 27 (TASR) - The coalition Voice-SD and Slovak National Party (SNS) need to sort out their political clubs and parties, MP Tibor Gaspar (Smer-SD) has stated, adding that if they don't resolve the situation, Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) may intervene. "Voice-SD and SNS must sort out their own clubs and political parties. We, as Smer-SD, can't solve this for them. Therefore, we expect them to explain to us whether and how they intend to continue functioning," Gaspar told the journalists. Gaspar believes that the Prime Minister could get involved in the negotiations, but only if the parties fail to resolve the situation in their parliamentary clubs on their own. Three MPs left the SNS caucus last autumn, while Voice-SD expelled two MPs, Samuel Migal and Radomir Salitros, from the party last week. The premier stated over the weekend that he expects an explanation for the MPs' expulsion. lin/mcs
