Bratislava/Cerveny Klastor, January 29 (TASR) - The situation in the coalition Voice-SD party has been stabilised and the party has been 'purged' by the expulsion of MPs Samuel Migal and Radomir Salitros, Interior Minister and Voice-SD leader Matus Sutaj Estok said following the away-from-home government session in Cerveny Klastor (Presov region) on Wednesday, adding that they don't plan to communicate with the expelled MPs any longer.
"May they succeed in life and politics and the issue of Mr. Migal and Salitros is thereby closed for me," said Sutaj Estok, adding that they'll do their best for MPs Jan Ferencak and Roman Malatinec (both Voice-SD) to feel good in the party caucus.
At the same time, Sutaj Estok stated that the Voice-SD party would never join a government that includes a party sympathising with a fascist or extremist ideology.
Vice-premier and Environment Minister Tomas Taraba (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) following the away-from-home cabinet session denied that the government would fall. The away-from-home session itself attests to the fact that the government wants to go on, he said.
"We came here today to help a region that is struggling, and it is clear to all of us that if we really want to do this, we must be in government," said Taraba, referring to the words by MP and Kezmarok mayor Jan Ferencak, one of the four MPs centred around Migal, who was standing next to him. "So rest assured that we'll resolve it," stressed Taraba.
