Culture Ministry Posts Files with New Version of National Anthem for Download

Bratislava, February 1 (TASR) - The Culture Ministry has published for download files with a new arrangement of the national anthem by Oskar Rozsa, the ministry has announced on its website. The files contain the national anthem in instrumental and sung versions, along with the score of the anthem. "The national anthem of the Slovak Republic can be played at all official events organised by state administration, local governments, schools, sports facilities and cultural facilities," said the ministry. Both institutions and individuals can download it free of charge. The modified version of national anthem was prepared by the Culture Ministry in cooperation with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra. A new arrangement was created for the first time in 32 years by Slovak composer, conductor and producer Oskar Rozsa. It was first played in the first minutes of the new year. According to the Interior Ministry's guidelines, the new version is recommended as the official national anthem of Slovakia, but older versions can still be used without penalties. ko/df
