BRIEF: President: Coalition Not Seeking Slovakia's Exit from EU and NATO

Bratislava, February 4 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini, speaking after his meeting with the leaders of coalition parties Smer-SD, Voice-SD, Slovak National Party (SNS) and the opposition Christian Democrats (KDH) on Tuesday, gave assurances that neither the coalition party leaders nor the chairman of the opposition KDH want or are preparing for Slovakia to leave the European Union and NATO. Pellegrini stated that he therefore considers one of the reasons for regular demonstrations — fears that Slovakia may leave the EU and NATO — to be irrelevant.
