President to Take Part in Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris

Bratislava, February 9 (TASR) - Artificial Intelligence (AI), the future of work, innovation and culture, trust in AI, and global rules for its governance will be high on the agenda of the third Global AI Action Summit in Paris, which will be attended by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini at the beginning of the week, TASR was told by the President's Office on Sunday.
"On Monday (February 10) evening, our head of state will also attend a meeting of the presidents and premiers of the EU countries present and an official dinner given by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace. Tuesday (February 11) will be devoted to a discussion on artificial intelligence, and the Slovak president will also attend a number of bilateral meetings," they added.
The AI Summit will be co-chaired by France (President Macron) and India (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), according to the office. AI will be jointly discussed not only by presidents and prime ministers, but also by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, representatives of the technology sector Sam Altman (OpenAI), Dario Amodei (Anthropic), Arthur Mensch (MistralAI), as well as Nobel Prize winners Demis Hassabis for chemistry and Daron Acemoglu for economics.
