Blanar to Deliver Speech at UN Human Rights Council in Geneva

Bratislava, February 23 (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) will visit Switzerland on Tuesday and Wednesday (February 25-26) to deliver a speech at a session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and present the position of Slovakia on the situation in Ukraine, the Gaza Strip, Syria and Afghanistan as well as human rights in the context of AI, TASR learnt from the ministry press department on Sunday.
"The minister is also slated to meet with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Director-General of the UN Office in Geneva and the President of the Red Cross International Committee, with whom he'll sign a renewed memorandum on understanding," stated the ministry.
Blanar will visit the HQ of the CERN as well and meet with Slovak scientists conducting research at the institution. In addition, he'll also hold a bilateral meeting with several foreign affairs ministers.
