Bratislava, February 25 (TASR) - The police rejected the criminal complaint against MP Tomas Szalay (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS), who was accused of causing a public danger through COVID-19 vaccinations, TASR has learnt from Bratislava regional police spokesperson Katarina Bartosova.
The statement indicates that the investigator from the Bratislava III District Police Department rejected the case on January 30, as he saw no reason to initiate criminal prosecution.
The criminal complaint was filed by doctor Peter Liptak with the Prosecutor-General's Office, claiming that Szalay intentionally gathered people at the Tehelne Pole Stadium in Bratislava for COVID-19 vaccination, exposing them to the risk of infection. Szalay denied this, calling Liptak's claims nonsense and pointing out that Liptak had discouraged nursing home residents from getting vaccinated.
