Liberation80: Military Models and Their Authors Presented in Upper-Hron Museum

Brezno, March 1 (TASR) - Creative workshops and a demonstration of tank battles from the WWII were part of an event called 'The Tank Saturday' that took place in the Upper-Hron Museum in Brezno (Banska Bystrica region) on Saturday, Dominika Skorvanekova of the museum has told TASR, adding that children had an opportunity to gain 'a small tanker certificate' there. According to Skorvanekova, the experience day was organised in cooperation with members of the Brezno Modelkit Club and Banska Bystrica-based Modellers Club 'One Hundred Tanks'. It follows up a 'From the Box to the Front' exhibition and was prepared to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the WWII and the 40th anniversary of Brezno modelers' organised activities. "Museum visitors had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the work of modelers by making their own model under the professional guidance of club members on Saturday," said Skorvanekova, adding that the history of the most famous tank battles was presented to people as well.
