Bratislava, March 3 (TASR) - MP Rudolf Huliak (Independent), nominated by Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) for the post of Tourism and Sport Minister, presented his vision for the ministry to President Peter Pellegrini on Monday, calling the discussion productive and stating that there were no disagreements, while also announcing he would attend coalition council meetings and serve as a nominee of Smer-SD. "I think the president needed to clarify the goals I have for the Tourism and Sport Ministry. All the questions he asked were answered, and, I believe, to our mutual satisfaction," he stated. Huliak is convinced he has enough managerial experience to lead the ministry. "It's a managerial role. What's important is to surround yourself with the right people who are experts in the field," he said, adding that when he takes up office, the current state secretaries at the ministry will be replaced. Huliak also rejected the possibility of an early general election. According to him, the governing coalition currently has the support of 76 MPs. He stated that the three Independent MPs who, along with him, are part of the non-parliamentary National Coalition party, will remain in Parliament. He also announced that if he assumes the position of Tourism and Sport Minister, Ivan Sevcik should take on the role of head of the House Committee for Agriculture and the Environment. lin/df
