PS Points to Huliak's Absence of Experience in Sport and Tourism

Bratislava, March 5 (TASR) - The opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) party has criticised Rudolf Huliak's (a Smer-SD nominee) appointment to the post of tourism and sport minister, calling it a perfect example of trafficking and pointing out that Huliak has no experience in the area of sports or tourism.
"Huliak has had nothing to do with sports or tourism. He will in no way help our youth to live healthier lives or enjoy better conditions for engaging in sport. Slovakia won't win more medals at the Olympics thanks to him. No, this former mayor of the village of Ocova (Banska Bystrica region), with his vulgar manners and ambition to leave the European Union, definitely won't attract hundreds of thousands of new tourists from around the world to our country," reads a statement by PS leader Michal Simecka.
Simecka opined that the only reason for the ministry's existence is trafficking. "And distributing posts to people like Huliak - party nominees without expertise, who will have a hard time keeping Fico's hodgepodge alive a bit longer," he added.
President Peter Pellegrini appointed Rudolf Huliak as Tourism and Sport Minister on Wednesday morning. At the same time, he dismissed Dusan Keketi (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) from this post. The personnel change occurred in response to the situation in the governing coalition and to the altered composition of powers in Parliament.
