Bratislava, March 7 (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar concurred on the existence of close neighbourly ties between Slovakia and Austria in his telephone conversation with new Austrian Minister for European and International Affairs Beata Meinl-Reisinger, TASR learnt from the ministry press department on Friday.
Blanar invited the Austrian minister to visit Slovakia.
Austria is the third largest foreign investor in Slovakia and the sixth most important export partner. "Practical cooperation at the level of regional groups such as the Austerlitz Format or the Central 5 remain a priority in the mutual ties as well as cross-border projects that deliver specific results to the people on both sides of our mutual border, whether it be the construction of transport infrastructure or the agreement on the provision of first-aid in border regions," said Blanar.
