Bratislava, March 11 (TASR) - Opposition MP Maria Kolikova (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) has no expectations when it comes to MP Samuel Migal (formerly Voice-SD, now Independent), recalling how he voted for the amendment to the Penal Code.
Kolikova said this at a news conference on Tuesday in reaction to Migal's meeting with opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) leader Michal Simecka on Monday (March 10).
"I remember the false game he played when I was being dismissed from the post of head of the special parliamentary committee for supervising the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS). I remember it very well. I also remember how he voted on the shameful amendment to the Penal Code, but I haven't noticed him apologising for it like MP [Radomir] Salitros. His opinions are evidently unstable," she said, adding that neither the coalition, nor the opposition can rely on an MP like that.
According to Kolikova, the MPs around Migal have repeatedly declared that they are not interested in political posts, but now they're negotiating as to which of them will hold what post.
Migal had a working lunch with Simecka and PS caucus head Martin Dubeci on Monday. According to Simecka, they agreed that Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) isn't a good candidate for the House chair post. Migal has posted on a social network that he wants to build bridges between the coalition and the opposition.
