Tourism Ministry Dismisses Management of National Lottery Company Tipos

Bratislava, March 12 (TASR) - The Tourism and Sport Ministry has dismissed all current members of the board of directors and supervisory board of national lottery company Tipos, the company's communications department has confirmed for TASR. It was the aktuality.sk website that first broke the news that the company's management was being replaced. "We're confirming the dismissal of all members of the Tipos board of directors and supervisory board, nominated by the Tourism and Sport Ministry, without giving any reason," stated Tipos's communications department, which didn't provide any details regarding the new management. Further details should be announced to the media by the ministry itself. Those dismissed include chairman of Tipos's board of directors Peter Dedo, vice-chair Adriana Bujdakova and board members Gabriela Dobrovodska and Richard Messinger. They were appointed to their posts by the previous leadership of the Tourism and Sport Ministry. The personnel changes at Tipos have come after Rudolf Huliak (a Smer-SD nominee) became the new Tourism and Sport Minister last week. He replaced Dusan Keketi (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) in the post. As part of an agreement within the governing coalition, the Tourism and Sport Ministry was transferred from SNS to Smer-SD. Tipos was formerly under the remit of the Finance Ministry, but it was transferred under the control of the Tourism and Sport Ministry when the latter was set up. ko/df
