Bratislava, March 14 (TASR) - The opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) party has called on Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) to provide information about the state of the Aliens Police and its electronic registration system, MP Zuzana Stevulova (PS) told a press conference on Friday. "As time slots aren't available, they [foreigners] buy those appointments, and pay for them, I have information that it's between €50-€300. For example, just yesterday, in one group on a social network, a foreigner posted that she bought a slot for €220. I'm asking how that is possible. I've also repeatedly asked Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok about this during question time in Parliament," stated Stevulova, adding that the problem persists. The MP pointed out that the addition of dates when foreigners can come to arrange matters without an appointment doesn't resolve the situation. In her opinion, it isn't enough. She again asked the head of the Interior Ministry to address the situation. "There is both a big capacity problem and an obvious technical problem. It's a mystery to me that this is despite repeated assurances from the Interior Ministry that the system is supposedly secure," she added. The Slovak Towns Union drew attention to an unsatisfactory situation at the Aliens Police in October of last year. There aren't enough appointments in the police's booking system and time slots have been bought and sold. am/df
