Bratislava, March 16 (TASR) - Foreign and European Minister Juraj Blanar, along with Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenicky and House's foreign affairs committee chair Marian Kery (all from Smer-SD), have travelled to India for a business visit, accompanied by a large delegation of Slovak entrepreneurs, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation, and promoting Slovak innovations and technological solutions in the Indian market, the ministry reported on Sunday. During the visit in Delhi, Blanar will speak at the multilateral Raisina Dialogue 2025 conference, which is held annually by the Indian Foreign Ministry and the Observer Research Foundation. The conference provides a platform for discussions with global political leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts on global challenges and strategic partnerships. Blanar will participate in a panel discussion alongside Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and other prominent partners on the topic of defending territorial and political integrity of sovereignty. The Slovak delegation will also take part in the specialised economic forum CII India – Europe Business Exchange, one of the largest platforms for deepening economic cooperation between India and Europe, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry. The event will feature meetings between Slovak and Indian entrepreneurs, providing Slovak companies with the opportunity to form new business partnerships or expand their existing activities in the Indian market. At the end of the working visit, Blanar, along with the delegation, will travel to Kolkata, where he will officially open the honorary consulate of the Slovak Republic, which will serve as an important centre for the development of bilateral relations and the support of Slovak business activities in the region. It was during last year's visit that the Indian side officially confirmed its agreement to appoint an honorary consul of the Slovak Republic in Kolkata. The delegation is expected to return to Slovakia on Friday. lin
