Bratislava, March 17 (TASR) - The volume of new commissions in industry recorded a year-on-year growth by 4.3 percent to €5.19 billion in January 2025, the Statistics Office reported on Monday. After seasonal adjustment, the January 2025 growth equalled 6.1 percent month-on-month. The y-o-y increase was seen in January only in three out of twelve monitored segments: the production of computer, electronic and optical products, the production of motor vehicles and trailers, and the production of chemicals and chemical products. On the contrary, the commissions went down y-o-y mostly in the production of clothes, the production and processing of metals and the production of electric devices. mf
