Bratislava, March 19 (TASR) - Samuel Migal should become the new Investment, Regional Development and Informatisation Minister, Migal himself has confirmed on a social network, adding that he should assume the post on Wednesday. According to Migal, Radomir Salitros should become his state secretary. Both of them have been serving as Independent MPs after being expelled from Voice-SD. "We are accepting our posts with humility, but at the same time with a determination to leave positive things for all of Slovakia behind us. Our common ambition is, above all, to minimise regional differences and dramatically speed up the processes within the ministry so that the state finally starts working for the people and not the other way around," stated Migal. According to Migal, both of them originally wanted to remain working in Parliament. "However, an agreement was reached that will allow the government to continue implementing the good things from the government manifesto and prevent people like Igor Matovic from forming a cabinet or MPs who are not far from extremists from returning to Parliament," he said. Migal declared that as independent members of the executive, they will be able to work freely and without the burden of political agreements. "Although we may have different opinions on many things and people, we believe that accepting this challenge will mean showing how things can be done when concrete goals for all citizens are preferred to a party line," he added. Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) announced the signing of an agreement with Independent MPs Migal and Salitros on Tuesday (March 18), adding that by doing this he was creating the conditions for a stable majority for the governing coalition in Parliament. The post of investment, regional development and informatisation minister is currently occupied by Richard Rasi (Voice-SD), but he is set to resign from the post and become the House chair. ko/df
