Bratislava, March 19 (TASR) - Jan Ferencak remains in Parliament, in Voice-SD party and in the post of Kezmarok (Presov region) mayor, the MP stated on social media on Wednesday.
"I wish new Investments Minister Samuel Migal, and future state secretary, Radomir Salitros, much success in their new positions," said Ferencak. He added that he didn't find common ground with them on fundamental value-based issues, opinions on managing the ministry, and further political directions.
As Ferencak stated, it's not about personal gain or positions. "I'll do my best not to disappoint the trust of those who gave me their vote in the election, and I'll work for all people of Slovakia," he stated.
Migal and Salitros were expelled from Voice-SD in January, while Ferencak remained in the party. Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) held talks with the group of dissatisfied MPs regarding securing their support for the government. After an adjustment to the coalition agreement, Voice-SD gave up the Investments Ministry, which was transferred to Smer-SD. On Wednesday, Migal became the new Investments Minister, while Salitros is set to be the state secretary of the ministry.
