Bratislava, March 20 (TASR) - Investment Minister Samuel Migal (Independent) plans to engage in politics with his peer Radomir Salitros in the future, with founding a new political party on the table as well. "If we announce a new political project, you will be informed about it very soon, but yes, I can confirm that we want to continue to be politically engaged," said Migal when answering journalists' questions on Thursday, adding that they haven't fully figured out the name of the party yet. Migal stressed that he and Salitros are not "favourites" on either side of the political spectrum. According to him, this attests to a divided society, which they would like to unite. He reiterated that he didn't seek any post, but such an agreement has been reached and the post doesn't belong to him alone. "It's about a team of people, and the minister will manage it," he stated. MP Jan Ferencak (Voice-SD), who cooperated with Migal and Salitros, said on Thursday that he "resolutely refuses" to quit Voice-SD and found a new political party with them. He added that he disagrees with them on value-based issues. Migal and Salitros were expelled from Voice-SD in January, while Ferencak remained in the party. Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) held negotiations with the group of dissatisfied MPs in order to secure their support for the government. After the coalition agreement was amended, Voice-SD gave up the Investment Ministry, which passed to Smer-SD. Migal became the new Investment Minister on Wednesday (March 19), while Salitros should be his state secretary. ko/df
