Bratislava, March 20 (TASR) - Artworks of naive art painters from Serbia's Kovacica, a town founded in the early 19th century by ethnic Slovaks, were displayed as part of a light projection onto the Presidential Palace's facade on Thursday, organised by the White Night civic association in cooperation with the Office of Slovaks Living Abroad, TASR learnt from the President's Office press department on the same day. "A greeting from Kovacice to the capital city as well as entire Slovakia will be send via their artwork by internationally renowned painter Zuzana Chalupova together with artists Martin Jonas and Jan Knazovic," stated the press department before the event. It detailed that the facade projection featured 30 artworks - ten pieces painted by each artist. The aim of the event was to symbolically underline the importance of naive art as part of Slovakia's cultural heritage abroad. The Kovacice art was included on the UNESCO's cultural heritage list in December 2024. mf
