Sipos: We'll Wait and See How Coalition Approaches Next House Session Attendance

Bratislava, March 23 (TASR) - The 'Slovakia'-For the People-KU alliance parliamentary caucus will wait for the next session of the House, slated for Tuesday (March 25), to see how coalition lawmakers decide to approach the roll call, caucus head Michal Sipos said on Sunday. "We'll wait and see how the lawmakers of the governing coalition decide to take attendance. We won't be helping this governing coalition, not when they show no respect for parliamentary rules of procedure," claimed Sipos. As for the post of House vice-chair that belongs to the opposition and has been vacant ever since the coalition ousted Progressive Slovakia (PS) leader Michal Simecka in 2024, Sipos said the decision of whom to nominate, if anyone, is up to PS. This is their right as the largest opposition parliamentary party and whoever they choose to nominate, the 'Slovakia'-For the People-KU caucus will support. Sipos also lambasted Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Richard Takac (Smer-SD) for what he sees as Takac's failure to adopt measures against the epidemic of foot-and-mouth disease in a timely manner. mf
