Vallo: We Hope Petrzalka Tramline Will Be Opened in May or June

Bratislava, March 27 (TASR) - Bratislava mayor Matus Vallo has voiced his hope that the inhabitants of Bratislava's Petrzalka borough will be able to take a ride on the new tram line there as early as in May or June, TASR learnt on Thursday. "We're waiting for the delivery of the paperwork that has to be done and waiting for the first permits from four construction authorities," Vallo told councillors at a session of Bratislava city council. "I firmly hope that local people will be able to take a ride on a normal, legal, completed line in the months of May or June." The construction of tram stops is currently nearing its end, with shelters yet to be supplied. Of equal importance, in Vallo's view, is to have all roads and footpaths related to the new line completed as well. The Petrzalka tramline project is slated to be complete by August 15. mf/df
