Bratislava, March 27 (TASR) - Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) doesn't like statements made by Government Proxy for Investigation into the COVID-19 Pandemic Management Peter Kotlar on mRNA vaccines against COVID-19, as they don't contribute towards the building of trust in doctors and the minister underlined that he will always support science and modern medicine, TASR learnt on Thursday.
"My task is to build the trust in health personnel, so I reject any statements to the contrary," claimed Sasko, adding that he will never let anyone denigrate the work of doctors who had risked their own lives to save others during the pandemic. Sasko announced that there will be a meeting at the Health Ministry on Friday (March 28) "from which a serious message is to be sent to support facts and modern medicine".
When asked by journalists about Kotlar's report, Sasko replied that he was unable to comment, as he hasn't seen the analysis. "Only one single person in Slovakia has seen it and that is the Prosecutor-General - hence, I've got nothing to comment on," said Sasko. He finds it important that a working group of experts will be put together and examine the analysis. "I, for one, think this is good for shedding light into the dispute because we have certain camps here... It's important to form a relevant expert opposition to scrutinize this analysis and I hope that the close scrutiny will set the record straight," he added.
According to the Government Proxy, his analysis has proven that mRNA vaccines are capable of modifying human DNA, and the vaccinated run the risk of developing various serious illnesses.
