Bratislava, March 27 (TASR) - The fulcrum of an inaugural session of the Council of Sports Minister Rudolf Huliak, held on Thursday, were priorities in the support and development of sports in the Slovak regions and the support of talents and the youth, TASR learnt on the same day. The council is chaired by Radoslav Hecl, whereas Darius Rusnak serves as the deputy chair. Also present at the session were head of ice-hockey association Miroslav Satan, athletic association president Peter Korcok, cycling federation president Peter Privara, president of basketball association Michal Ondrus, Dusan Galis and renowned racewalking coach Juraj Bencik. "The aim of this meeting is to have sportspeople make decisions about sportspeople. I'd like to be a trailblazer, whether it be regarding the legislation or distribution of money within the sports infrastructure, so that it won't be us making decisions from far away about fates of sportspeople, individual regions, the infrastructure and needs of sportspeople, but it'll be you, who have years of sports practice under your belt, boast results in representing Slovakia as well as training young talents. That is the alpha and omega of this ministry, to bring sports to the regions and support the youth," declared Huliak at the first session. mf
