Peter Bencurik Becomes New Head of Slovakia Travel

Bratislava, March 28 (TASR) - National tourism promotion organisation 'Slovakia Travel' has a new director general, namely Peter Bencurik, who was previously the head of the Slovak exposition Expo 2025 Osaka, TASR learnt from Slovakia Travel's communications department head Zuzana Eliasova on Friday. Bencurik succeeded Ivana Vala Magatova at the helm of the organisation. "Tourism is an important driving force of the economy, and therefore it'll be the pointer on the scales even in the times of the looming automotive crisis. My ambition is to show that tourism has an important place in the system and to give it the priority it rightly deserves. I'm convinced that by working together systematically we'll show the world that we have something to offer in Slovakia, which will boost inbound tourism," added Bencurik. am
