Bratislava, April 1 (TASR) - Two more F-16 fighters are expected to arrive in Slovakia in the upcoming days, Slovak army's spokesman Stefan Zemanovic told TASR on Tuesday, adding that the public will be informed about their arrival. Last year, the first three Slovak F-16 fighter jets arrived at the military airport in Kuchyna-Malacky (Bratislava region). Slovakia concluded a contract for a total of fourteen F-16 C/D Block 70 fighters in late 2018, but the delivery was delayed due to the pandemic. Defence Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD) announced the gradual takeover of airspace protection by these combat aircraft. Currently, Slovak skies are being guarded by foreign partners. lin
